Mark you calendar for the CSC Fall Ball dance, Saturday, September 19th. It will be the best time all week!!
If you've never been to an SOS event, you're missing a great time. All of the North Myrtle Beach clubs will be open for shag dancing everyday of the week. Most will require you show your SOS card to get into the club for free, or you'll pay a cover charge (Fat Harolds, Ducks, OD Cafe, OD Grill, Spanish Galleon), but there are some that do NOT require a card and do NOT have a cover charge (OD Pavilion, Boulevard Grill, Deckers) - so there are places for everyone to go. Most shaggers go from club to club visiting friends and favorite DJs. There are a lot of shaggers walking around and hanging out on the streets and are so friendly and not shy about asking if you are with a shag club, so wear your logo gear proudly. Most days, shaggers run around in comfortable shorts and t-shirts and at night, dress it up a little.
On the first Sunday & only Monday of the Fall Migration everyone meets in the Street for two of the biggest block parties you have every seen, Fun Sunday & Fun Monday. On Fun Sunday the party is in the street beside the OD Arcade. Fun Monday we will pack Main Street from OD to Hillside with every smooth dancing fun lovin' friend that we can find. There will be great music, dancing in the street, & merchandise vendors, food/drink vendors, & displays set up by the SOS sponsors.
**Remember that we are guests on the streets of North Myrtle Beach. We need to make sure that we do our best to pick up our belongings and trash when we get ready to leave. Starting this year there will be no coolers and containers on the street or in public areas during Fun Monday. We want everyone to have fun, but please remember that adult beverages may be obtained from local merchants & consumed on their premises only.
To make the most of your Fun Sunday & Fun Monday experience come prepared. Make sure you have a chair, a hat, and clothes appropriate for the weather. We'll be outside all day, so don't forget your sun block. Please do NOT bring umbrellas as they present a danger to others in a big crowd & block the view of other guests.
