Calling All Shutterbugs!

If you like to take photos, we need your help taking pictures at Coastal Shag Club events. Anytime that you are able, bring your camera and snap some photos, at a dance, event, or gathering. Email your photos to Julie Rogers at julesrogers95@yahoo.com and she'll add them to our website. And don't forget, when the camera's turned on you... smile!

Get Well Messages

Know of anyone who is battling an illness, or who needs a little extra love?  Pam Evans has volunteered to coordinate sending out get well messages to our members in need.  If you hear of anyone who is feeling poorly, or having surgery, or needs a reminder that we care please contact Pam at jptevans@atmc.net or 910-540-2734 

Shag Taxi

My name is Jim Childers and I’m a former member of the Northern VA Shag Club and the Battlefield Boogie Club in Fredericksburg, VA and now reside in North Myrtle Beach and yes, it is as fun as it sounds. I recently bought and opened a taxi service here at the beach, POP'S TAXI, and no I am not Pops. The reason I am contacting your club is to offer all your members a 20% discount on all their taxi needs when visiting the beach- this is for all trips to and from the airport as well as all local rides. Shag Book

Tom Poland and Dr. Phil Sawyer are compiling a book and they need your help.  They received permission to contact shag clubs.  If you have old photos of shag clubs or shag dancing on Ocean Drive pre and post Hurricane Hazel, you will receive a photo credit in the book.  In addition, the authors are looking for your memories of the old shag beach clubs.  Read a new excerpt. Do You Have Time To Volunteer?

• Many of us have the time and talent to help others and Claire Cozzi has generously agreed to coordinate our volunteer efforts.  If you are interested in being contacted about volunteering, let Claire know at cozzimoto@atmc.net or (910) 755-6571.  Claire will let us know when an opportunity arises for us to lend a hand.  What a great way for our club to give back to our community.

• CSC Parties Together! If you are new to the area, new to shagging, or unsure about the areas where we go to shag, let's plan to carpool or caravan! There is not only safety in numbers - but we have more fun when we're together. The next time we road trip, or you hear a few Coastal Shag 'Shakers' are going down to in North Myrtle Beach for SOS to shag and you're not sure where exactly they're going... let one of the CSC officers know you're interested in going together.
